Description
The RS self-repairing high-speed door is built for openings where a forklift may hit the curtain. On impact the curtain leaves the guide instead of tearing, the drive lifts it and the side rack returns for the next cycle. A torn curtain no longer stops production.
Where it is used
It is installed between workshops, in an internal lobby or on a facade, wherever traffic is fast and impacts are likely. The motor can be at the front or on the side, depending on the headroom available.
Technical characteristics
- Vertical opening and roll-up at the head
- Automatic return of the curtain into the guides after an impact
- Speed of 0.7 to 0.9 m/s, up to 2 m/s with an inverter
- Safety photocell in the guide, with movement reversal
- Operating temperature from -20 °C to +40 °C
- IP 54, up to IP 65 depending on the gear motor
- Controls can include a photocell, radar, magnetic loop, remote or push button
Standards and installation
Reversal time follows EN 13241. The panel is designed for an industrial environment, three-phase or single-phase with an inverter. The control diagram helps choose detection that matches forklift traffic.
