Description
The hydraulic dock leveler takes up the height difference between the dock and the truck bed. The platform and hinged lip create a continuous path for pallet trucks and forklifts. It is the core of a loading bay, together with the shelter, bumpers and wheel guides.
Where it is used
It sits in a pit at the door threshold. The lift cylinder and the lip cylinder are controlled from a wall panel. A hose-burst valve prevents a sudden drop if a hose fails.
Technical characteristics
- 9,000 kg static capacity and 6,000 kg dynamic capacity
- 5/7 chequered-steel platform, reinforced by 10 tubes
- 400 mm lip in 13/15 chequered plate, 24 mm hinge pin
- 1.1 kW (1.5 hp) hydraulic unit, 400 V three-phase, 170 bar
- Automatic levelling during loading
- Operating range from -20 °C to +50 °C, RAL 9005 paint or galvanising
- IP55 panel, 24 V control, emergency stop and power lamp
Standards and installation
The pit must follow the sheet’s reservation drawing, including clearance around the lip and the door’s clear opening. After each loading cycle the lip folds and the platform returns to rest before the truck leaves. The panel warns against driving onto the leveler if the supply is off.
