Description
The manual dock restraint holds a trailer. It locks one wheel until transfer is finished and stops the truck pulling away while the leveler is still resting in the vehicle. The 70 mm round arm follows the vertical movement of the suspension.
Where it is used
It is used on parcel docks, food platforms and warehouses where drivers change over frequently. The device works with air and leaf-spring suspensions and with most rear doors.
Technical characteristics
- Horizontal range from 3,000 to 5,000 mm
- 70 mm diameter round restraining arm
- Hot-dip galvanised steel parts and a protective housing
- Red and green LED lights, inside and outside
- Two audible alarms and an electromagnet lock on the arm
- Position sensors and emergency release
- Fixed to a concrete slab with a mechanical or chemical anchor
Standards and installation
The lights tell the forklift driver and the truck driver the restraint status. The sequence can be interlocked with the door and the leveler so loading cannot start until the truck is held. The data sheet gives the floor space and the arm travel.
